Yarramalong

Yarramalong

Located in the heart of Yarramalong, the lodge is inspired by the architecture of a modern South African lodge. Nestled against the water edge, it draws upon its natural surroundings. Warm against its settings, it forms a cosy home-style environment.

Imagined by two couples, their passion was to build a lodge that echoed nostalgic moments of their South African upbringing at a grand scale. Their goal – bring a piece of home to Yarramalong.

Designed around the man-made lake, it balances against the water edge linked by a large infinity pool which draws a connection to its natural environment.

Winner of house of the year at the national, the Yarramalong lodge’s stunning setting and high-end finishes encapsulate Halls Constructions’ attention to detail and craft.

Oversized timber supports run through the homestead. Selected by hand, these seasonal timbers add an abundance of warmth against the block work and sandstone. The details and care given in selecting each piece made the hero of the suspended sandstone fire place.

This incredible lodge has even been known as a retreat for Hollywood movie stars, including Matt Damon, who found solace at the Yarramalong lodge after filming his movie Invictus.

At night the custom designed lighting, a combined effort from the owners, Hall Constructions and the architect, illuminate the home in spectacular fashion.

A home away from home, the Yarramalong lodge is a showcase of Hall Constructions’ Master Craftsmanship.
